In 2009, Pakistan Cricket Board deducted a fine amount of Rs seven million from Shoaib Akhtar's annual earnings and banned him for 18 months for violating his contract. But after the fast bowler filed a petition, the Lahore High Court directed the Board to return the deducted fine amount.
