In Canada, a long-running joke is now being used to pay special tribute. Canadians are "spocking" their $5 bills in solidarity.

Wilfrid Laurier, the 7th Prime Minister of Canada who's on the $5 bill, hilariously resembles the Star Trek character. So, for years, Canadians have made it tradition to doodle it on their currency.
