Sirga the Lionness was abandoned by her pride when she was a sick cub, but she was rescued by a young German man named Val Gruener.

The pair went viral last year after a video was uploaded to YouTube showing Sirga greeting Val with a loving hug.
Now the two are the stars of a new documentary series which follows Val teaching Sirga how to hunt.

She now weighs more than 140kg (308lbs), but the pair are still inseperable.
