It began two days ago, when Kal's Instagram feed alerted us that he was boarding an India-bound Air Force One.

The Obamas were leaving for a 3-day trip to India, where President Barack Obama would be the guest of honour at India's annual Republic Day Parade in New Delhi... And Kal Penn, apparently, was tagging along.

The dinner in question was hosted by India's President Pranab Mukherjee at Rashtrapati Bhawan (where the President lives) in honour of the visiting Obamas.
