Martin Freeman, the star of the new Hobbit film, hosted Saturday Night Live over the weekend. During the show, two very different worlds combined:

Freeman made his name in the original British version of The Office as the loveable Tim Canterbury.

He can now be seen in cinemas playing lead character Bilbo Baggins in The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.

"What have I been up to?" Bilbo/Tim says. "I went on a quest, saved Middle Earth, became a bit of a hero, did the noble thing and turned down loads of treasure. Yeah, so the brave hobbit Bilbo Baggins now works at a paper company."
